Christopher Roesinger is a thriving artist whose lucid creations in glass can most often be found adorning the highly complimented. After graduating NJCU in May 2000 with a B.S. in Marketing, he turned his focus, and indulged his creative passions, through study, exposure, and hands on experience. During the summer of 2001, Chris was offered the opportunity to apprentice with Andrew Benowitz, a friend and scientific glass blower who had begun to branch out artistically. This brought Chris to Swedesboro NJ, where he immediately became a fixture of the local glassblowing scene. He gained a solid foundation at the Salem Community College Glass Program and in his free time sought to study from the great masters including Emilio Santini, Paul Stankard and Gianni Toso. Most recently he’s had the opportunity to study with emerging artists Christopher Rice and Matthew Eskuche. Chris now lives in Skaneateles, New York, a majestic area in the heart of the Finger Lakes region. Here he draws from the surrounding natural beauty and serenity, allowing him to expand his repertoire of artistic skills. He continues to develop his line of jewelry, creating an ever-expanding array of designs which bring a sense of individuality and beauty to the wearer. Chris has also begun teaching his techniques and ideas at the Carlisle School of Glass Art, Revere Glass, and thru private workshops. Looking further down the road, he plans to continue to diversify his artistic interests, moving into more complex utilitarian design, as well as decorative and artistic objects. |
